Jon Blunkell
Director of Training & Services
Jon has worked with young people in care since 1994 spending 10 years as a supported housing manager in the YMCA movement.
During this time, he also became a foster carer, and for 18 years looked after a number of young people, many of whom he is still in contact with now they are adults. Jon has a master’s degree in conflict resolution and mediation, and specialist experience in restorative and solution focused approaches. He has worked as a trainer since 2004 and holds a level 4 training qualification.
Alexandra Rudman
Director of Business Development & Marketing
Alex has considerable experience of the care system, having been in kinship care from the age of three before going into foster care, then residential settings on a full care order. Fiercely independent, she moved into independence at 16.
Fueled by her passion to improve the system, Alex has worked as a manager for Shelter, then Become, for the last ten years. She’s mentored numerous care-experienced young people, is a highly skilled fundraising consultant, and an engaging keynote speaker. It is this combination of lived experience and professional acumen that makes her work stand out.
